Every year I like to begin Gemara class with an introduction to תורה שבעל פה project. This gets students engaged in the class immediately. It also forces students to use their creativity and to be the producers of the learning from the outset.
Additionally, the information learned is referenced often throughout the year and it is helpful for students to understand the basic background of the Gemara and everything they are learning.
This project is geared more towards students at the beginning stages of their learning, although as happens all too often, many of our junior and seniors may also need a refresher on the information.
The concept of this project is for students to create an advertisement campaign which presents the information. Attached are the details of the project and the article referenced in the project.
